Recurring scheduling: what is it?

We call recurrence what has the character of what is recurrent, that is, something related to return, repetition. Therefore, Ninsaúde Apolo's recurring schedule aims to leave any consultation scheduled that will be repeated frequently.

Recurrence scheduling, or recurring scheduling, is a feature that you find in the medical software Ninsaúde Apolo, in the scheduling area. The functionality is intended to make the work of the secretary easier, who will not need to repeatedly include the appointments of a patient, and also helps the health professional, who may be aware of these appointments in advance.

The functionality can be used for several specialties, such as speech therapy, for example.

How do Ninsaúde Apolo recurrences work?

Recurrences act primarily as a reminder. They will be visible in the calendar, highlighted by a different color from the other schedules, and the user, when scheduling the recurrence, will be able to choose whether to repeat it weekly, monthly or annually, besides being able to choose a specific date for the end, end after several occurrences or even repeat always.

It is also possible to choose which days of the week that schedule will repeat. Let's say that every Wednesday your patient can leave work early, and he would like to leave appointments on this specific day of the week. That way, you can reserve the best time for him, at once, without the need for the secretary to repeatedly ask "what is the best day and time for the appointment?".

As mentioned above, the recurrence will initially act as a reminder on the calendar. When the date in question approaches, the secretary only has to confirm with the patient whether he will attend or not, in the same way, that she usually does with the other patients.

If the answer is yes, it can turn this recurrence into an appointment, and signal it as confirmed. If the answer is no, she can ignore the recurrence, and if she has scheduled to repeat a certain number of times, that date in question will not count on the agenda, after all, it was discarded by the patient.

How does it work in practice?

We will now show you a brief tutorial on how to insert a recurrence in the Ninsaúde Apolo's agenda, to demonstrate how easy this action is.   1. When accessing the schedule menu, the user must press on the option New -> Recurrence. The name and specialty of the health professional will already be duly filled in according to the agenda that the secretary is viewing.
  2. The user must first fill in the service field, which corresponds to the type of consultation (session of physiotherapy, therapy, speech therapy, etc.), and then insert the date and time of the beginning of this series of consultations.
  3. Choose whether the recurrence will be weekly, monthly, or yearly. Then define the date on which it will end, or after how many consultations will end. For this, it is necessary to deselect the option "Always repeat".
  4. Finally, enter the data that is common in any schedule: patient, health insurance and plan, if any, the branch, the room (if you have registered one), and the forwarder, if there is one.
